Who We Are

Ndi Igbo N'ile Cultural Association of Northern Saskatchewan (NINCANS) was established in 2023

as a not-for-profit organization that promotes Igbo cultural heritage and contributes to the progress, development, and welfare of the Igbo community in Northern Saskatchewan, Canada.

Mission: We exist to preserve and promote Igbo Cultural heritage in Northern Saskatchewan.

What We Do

— Igbo Education and awareness

Igbo Education and Awareness promotes cultural understanding and exchange. We provide resources and programs to educate on Igbo history, language, and traditions.

— Newcomers welfare

Supporting the settlement and integration of newcomers. Assisting with housing, employment, and access to essential services.

— Mentorship program

Empowering personal and professional growth through guidance and support. Pairing individuals with experienced mentors for valuable insights and advice.

— Child and Youth program

Nurturing the minds and spirits of our future leaders. Providing engaging activities, educational support, and mentorship for children and youth.  environment.

— Women empowerment

Empowering women, enriching communities. Supporting women’s economic, social, and emotional growth through education and resources.

We celebrate the richness and diversity of Igbo culture. Preserving traditions, embracing heritage, and promoting cross-cultural understanding.
